Topic: "Defying Bias: The Power of Inclusivity in Driving Innovation"
Career: Ms. Lisa Napolione is the Senior Vice President of Global Research & Development at the Estée Lauder Companies with responsibilities for all applied research, advanced technologies, and product design for over thirty Prestige Beauty brands worldwide. Previously, she was Senior Vice President and Global Head of Research & Development for Novartis Consumer Health, and before that her career started at Procter & Gamble where she held key positions in both beauty and health care managing laboratories across the globe. She has experience in all R&D disciplines and sub-functions.
Education: Ms. Napolione graduated from Clarkson University in 1987 in chemical engineering with a concentration in biology.
Volunteer Roles and Affiliations: Ms. Napolione is an active mentor to students in STEM fields, is a Women in Technology sponsor and is a YMCA Rising Star who has been involved in their mentoring efforts. Additionally, she also actively lectures on enabling women in both science and engineering. Lisa is a third term member of the Clarkson University Board of Trustees, is Vice-Chair of Academic Affairs and leads the Research Sub-Committee of the board. She also serves as an Executive Sponsor to the Breast Cancer Task Force at Estée Lauder, an organization that works directly to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Lisa is a member of the American Chemical Society, Society of Women Engineers and Cosmetics Executive Women.

NESCC March Chapter Meeting - Frgrance Forecast for 2021
Berje’s Andy O’Shea and Tom Lauzurica will present fragrance trends for 2021, focusing on the interplay between trending conventional fragrances infused with new naturals. A smelling session demonstrates a series of fragrances in four different categories and an impactful natural ingredient from each. We will explore fragrances and natural ingredient call outs from applications in personal care, fine fragrance and environmental categories.

Covering the basic process of generating ideas for new cosmetics, developing them into functional products and scaling them up to be sold commercially; this class would be useful for cosmetic formulators, quality control scientists, regulatory scientists, marketing and product development professionals and others who are interested in the process of taking an idea from a brainstorm session to a store shelf.
